Important Information for Foreign Visitors 🌍

If you are a foreign national joining the Tyre trip, please make sure before the tour that you have any necessary permits or authorizations required to access South Lebanon, where applicable to your nationality or status.

Participants are responsible for arranging any required authorization before the day of the trip.

Archaeological Entrance Fees for Foreign Visitors

Please also note that archaeological-site entrance fees differ for Lebanese and foreign visitors.

The tour price includes the standard Lebanese entrance fee:

• 100,000 LBP per archaeological site

• 200,000 LBP total for the two sites

The entrance fee for foreign visitors is:

• 400,000 LBP at Al-Bass

• 400,000 LBP at Al-Mina

• 800,000 LBP total

Because the Lebanese entrance fee is already included in your $45 tour price, foreign participants only need to pay the difference:

Additional amount for foreign participants: 600,000 LBP total

This amount will be collected separately on the day of the tour and will go toward the additional archaeological entrance fees.

📍 Meeting Point: Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, Martyrs’ Square, Beirut

Please arrive before departure time at 7:30 AM, so that the group can leave Beirut promptly at 8:00 AM.

🚌 Return to Beirut: We expect to arrive back in Beirut at approximately 6:00 PM.

Return time may vary depending on traffic, archaeological-site access, local conditions and the pace of the group.

What to bring

For a comfortable full day in Tyre, we recommend bringing:

• A hat

• A light layer depending on the weather

• Cash in Lebanese pounds for personal purchases and additional entrance fees, where applicable

📍 Route: Beirut – Tyre – Beirut

⏰ This is a full-day experience, arriving back to Beirut at 6:00 PM

🚶 The tour involves a considerable amount of walking

🏛 Archaeological sites include uneven stones, ancient paving and irregular surfaces

☀️ Significant parts of the archaeological sites are outdoors and have limited shade

👟 Comfortable walking shoes are strongly recommended

🥙 A local food tasting is included; please inform us in advance about allergies or dietary restrictions

🌍 Foreign participants should make sure that any necessary permits or authorizations for travel to South Lebanon are arranged before joining the trip

🎟 Foreign visitors are responsible for the additional 600,000 LBP archaeological entrance-fee difference, payable separately on the day in LBP cash (have the exact amount)

📸 Photography is welcome unless restrictions are indicated at a specific site

🔄 The itinerary and order of stops may be adjusted depending on site access, weather, security conditions, traffic or circumstances beyond the organizers’ control

🔞 This experience is open to adults aged 18 and above

• Cancellation Policy

Payments are non-refundable.

However, if you cancel at least 72 hours before the tour, your payment may be transferred one time only to another available Layers of Lebanon tour.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours before departure and no-shows are non-refundable and cannot be transferred.

If the tour is canceled by the organizers, participants will be offered either:

• A full refund, or

• The option to transfer their payment to another available tour
